Reasonably priced outdoor clothing?

Options
Hello,
Does anybody know where outdoor / walking gear can be bought at a discounted price? I'm not looking for something for nothing and I know that some fairly "technical" materials are used, but fleeces etc do seem very overpriced.
I'm not bothered about latest styles or anything, and have tried TK Maxx and drawn a blank.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • Lidl are doing some good deals at the moment, we brought boots for £10, nordic poles for £11 and a weatherproof man's jacket for £14 -all very reasonable, but hurry - they tend to sell out quickly.
    Blagged: free samples of handwash from Molton Brown; booklet of walks from Brecon Carreg;

    Have you got an outlet shopping centre nearby? We use the Springfields one in Spalding and they have this type of stuff, but have also used Mansfield, York & North Shields and they all generally have at least one shop selling this type of gear.

    You're completely right, Sir Edmund Hillary didn't have designer gear when he climbed Everest.
    Marks and Spencer do fleeces at about a tenner.

    How about here. Have used this company numerous times and they sell branded stuff greatly reduced.

    Thank you all v much. M&M are good, although the range of this kind of stuff is very limited. Will check out the M&S range - hadn't thought of that.
    Thanks again.

    Last time I went the Lowe Alpine shop had gone, there's still a Crag Hoppers factory shop there though.
  • Go Outdoors usually have some pretty good deals. Think they are doing a Berghaus fleece for £19.99 just now.
