How long is it before a will is normally read?

Have a look at the Which? book "Wills and Probate". That will take you through everything that needs to be done.0

"Reading" of the will is something that only really happens these days in films .... the executor should have the original will, which they will sort out and distribute the estate accordingly. This may be a solicitor , or a family member or friend.
Once the will has been approved through the probate office, it becomes a public document and anyone can obtain a copy.0 -
would i have a case with a solicitor do you think with this?
I along with 2 others were excutors and having no contact with them now have received nothing from estate ( not that there was much money left but some belongings would be nice) but the time frame was 3 yrs ago i have a copy of the will
If you were an executor, why haven't you been involved with sorting out the will?0 -
If you suspect any sort of foul play or anything, then why not contact the solicitor and speak to them about the will etc to see if they can shed some light on your problems.0
