What the!!!
Just got back from doing the deed so to speak - I am now a number! Got to the court just before two, went upstairs to the courtroom waiting area and sat there for about quarter of an hour. Went in to see the judge - a lovely lady - who went through my forms, read my story, asked me some questions about was I sure and so an and so forth, then she said "ok I'm going to sign the bankruptcy order" at which point I started shaking from all the adrenaline pumping through me - I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. In the end I just made some noises with my mouth that were supposed to be words but which weren't at all, and that was that.
Haven't spoken to the receiver yet - they're based in Reading so the paperwork has got to be DX'd over there first before they know what the deal with me is so I need to wait a few days before I find out about bank accounts etc. But on the whole, I'm glad it's over.
Thank you to everyone for your support on here so far - you truly have been a mine of useful information - and without you lot I don't think I'd be anywhere near where I am now. So thanks
I'll obviously keep you posted as to the progress of my bankruptcy but if you have any questions or anything at all, don't be afraid to ask them as I don't mind answering them one little bit.
Have a nice evening in the sunshine all,
Cheers

Well done sieve, hope things start to pick up for you from now on!“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

Haha yeah I did a bit, it was very weird - there were 3 other people there too going BR with me and one of them was crying and smiling and the others looked really relieved - it makes you realise that there are all sorts of people out there going BR and the empathy between people in this kind of situation is amazing.well done mate, did you find it hard to stop smiling as you walked out of the court.I know I did,but anyway:beer:
