A couple of weeks ago I went to use a glass out of a kitchen cupboard and luckily noticed two small bugs in it.. I had recently unpacked the glasses from a box and assumed they had been in there ages.. anyway today I found another two of these small tan coloured things on my work surface just sitting there... they are small (half centimetre) and they wriggle and crawl.. disgusting.. I have been through my cupboards and can't find any sign of them in the cupboards I climbed up and searched the top of the cupboards too.. .. now I am getting paranoid and imagine them to be in the breadbin (they are not) and any food I prepare... anyone tell me what they are and why I can't seem to find them they just appear ... YUK YUK YUK!!

Don't worry about giving them a name, just give them a bleach send-off :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

You might be better getting an insecticide from your local DIY store rather than using a bleach solution.
Your local council Environmental Health department should be able to identify the bugs for you - if you see them again, put one in a jar and take it along to them and ask their advice.0 -
Have they got legs?
From your description so far it sounds like some kind of maggot (fly lavae).TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Thanks everyone.. definately not silverfish... maybe the maggot thing !! I can't really clean with bleach as I have no idea where they are... I have searched all the cupboards and storage but nothing , today they just appeared on a work surface . I certainly don't have any mouldering food as my surfaces are cleaned every day , not even any crumbs under the toaster lol....
I will take the advice re:environmental health though sounds like the solution... I hope that I don't find anymore....#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
