Hi,

Just a quick warning to anybody moving to a property supplied by Npower. I have just given them my move in readings and they have said that they can only put me on their standard tariff, and not one of their cheap tariffs. This is even higher than our traditional local company's (Southern Electric) standard tariff. In the end, as soon as I came off the phone with them, I did an online move to a different company and saved an estimated £100 per year!!!! Even the Southern Electric tariff would have been £40 per year cheaper. Are Npower trying to lose customers? Would they rather a new customer moves away from them as soon as they inherit a supply?
