Bad_pool_caller

Computer keeps crashing and displaying a blue screen with BAD_POOL_CALLER at the top of the page.

The tech info given is:

***STOP: 0x000000C2 (0X00000099, 0X86E83E00, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

Anyone got any ideas what it is and how I can cure it.

Thanks :)

  • It's likely to be a third party driver for something on your computer. Have you installed any new hardware recently or updated any drivers?

There are better forums to ask about this problem than here!
  • Last driver was for ATI but that was about four months ago. It's been crashing occassionally for longer than that but it's been 2 or 3 times a day lately. Can't understand why.

Email me that file and I'll take a look at what was happening at the time of the stop.
