We have a laptop running on a wireless network from this computer. We then loaded a 3rd computer and after some problems got the internet running on that but lost it on the laptop! It now says on laptop status there is limited or no connectivity - does anyone have any idea what we have done & how to get the internet back on the laptop.
Any help greatly apppreciated!

I used to get this a lot and it suddenly stopped of it`s own accord. I suspect something from a neighbouring house was interfering with mine though.
If you right click the wireless icon in the system tray next to the clock you should get an option to repair. Windows should do the rest.

Right click and repair may get it running again.
Limited connectivity usually means that the router hasn't allocated an IP address to the device. It could be (but isn't likely to be) that the router was only set up to accept a single connection. Another possibility is that both have been set up with the same manual IP address.
I'm not confident that either of those are likely reasons though. I'm assuming it was working fine and you haven't changed any settings which makes the failure now a little strange.

Just thought - you didn't mention a router - are you running this as peer to peer with no router? If so you'll probably need to manually allocate IP addresses.0 -
Is the windows firewall switched on?
I do remember reading a while back that this can be the cause.

No firewall is switched off.
I am wondering if it is an IP address problem but unsure what to change & scared to risk losing the connections we have! Sorry don't understand what you mean by peer to peer but do have netgear router.0
