the nhs will go bust just funding the viagra bills then!

even the (lesser amount of) younger people paying taxes might need the viagra seeing their tax bills funding all the needed services!

    NHS don't fund viagra

aging population means we're living longer on average. hoorah!

if the system gets overloaded the average lifestyle of the average old will presumably drop and therefore lower life expectancy. leading to an anti-aging population.

until the system catches up and we all start living longer again.

this is certainly not a problem that is keeping me awake at night.

Thats amazing. I was particularly surprised that there are more overweight people than undernourished people in the world. ns the numerical disconnect between access to safe water and nourishment.

Finally, that in the scheme of all those numbers, suicide numbers were not higher.

Maybe we should all get into this BTL game then to fund the retirement.

Best get in early before we miss the boat:rotfl:
how do you think they will house all the old people who dont have houses and when there is not enough money to fund their retirement.

probably by bringing in rent control legislation for rented houses and also forcibly take control of vacant houses for social housing as has happened in other places. all those old people will be a big vote bank which the politicians wont be able to ignore, so BTL will probably be an enticing target for the politicians in those circumstances.

new york recently passed more such legislation i think.

the one child policy will have a big impact come retirement time when the population ages.

developing countries dont usually have a state sponsored support system in place for old age care or state pension etc and they will suffer more even if they have lesser levels of aged population as it falls on the family to support them or they might be on the street if they dont have family backup or cant take care of themselves.

looking at the chart japan will implode seeing the aged population figures. unless they invent more robots like in the movie 'I Robot' by then.

I don't know why we have the smoking ban, tax on alcohol, speed bumps, breast screening, fit for life campaigns etc. Surely we need less old people to sort the graph out.

Bring in voluntary euthanasia, the death penalty even for minor offences, free cigarettes for bankers and politicians. Introduce bars in all primary schools. Anything to stop people gettig old.
