Has anyone any good recommendations on where to eat in Perth? Obvioulsy the cheaper & the yummier the better, but not really wanting to go above £30pp for 3 courses. There will be 13 of us.
Also has anyone been to 'Duncan's' on George St & what is it like?
Thanks

Hi OFN,
I haven't been to Duncan's on George Street so cant comment, sorry. What kinda food would you prefer?
Ciao Roma (next to the City hall) is Italian and very nice, Should possibly get a 3 course within your budget.
Rancho Pancho, Mexican, George Street. Has good reviews from friends that have went. I havent been yet
Glover Arms, Up beside Dobbies, standard pub grub. But ok.
The Wheel Inn, Scone, has been revamped and is very good on the budget and service is also very good. Pub grub but excellent.
Lovat Hotel, Glasgow Rd, Nice food, nice surroundings. good service.
HTH's.

P.S. I'll rack my brains for some other suggestions."The journey of 1000 miles commenced with a single step"0 -

Re-reading this, I would recommend The Wheel Inn at Scone.

Thanks sugarhunny, will have a look at those places you suggested.
It would be for a calm & collected hen dinner...Rancho Pancho's does look good & there cocktail prices look very good!!0 -
em, please don't go to Rancho Pancho, I work next door to it and I wouldn't like to tell you about what I see at the back of the restaurant.........!0

Is Rancho Pancho taken over/changed name form Dos Amigos.0

You have to go to Duncans. We go every single Saturday when in Perth and the food is excellent and I would challege you to eat more than two courses. We did on one occasion eat three courses at dinner, but simply too much. Try, and say Moira sent you.0

Hi there. I really love Pacos resaurant in Perth. The decor (and the food!) is amazing and we always spend ages eating in there as there are so many old style things to look at on the walls etc.

Another one I love is the Chinese Jade Garden. http://www.jadegardenperth.com/
Hope that helps a bit.
Perth is great for places to eat out. :beer:0 -
Slopalongplacidly what are the prices like in Duncan's?0

When I lived there I always went to Pacos good atmosphere and reasonable prices .0

Well owtfornowt, it depends when you go. At lunch they have a special lunch menu and also something like winter warmers, or similar. Dinner is more expensive. You can look at their website, which is duncansinperth.com and all the monthly menus and prices are listed. They go a recent mention in Michelins, so getting good publicity now.0
