Itunes music to Mp3

Can someone answer my question please? I was lucky enough to get the 12 free itunes from shopfar.com. I want to down load them and put them on the ipod, but I also would like to make a cd in mp3 format or wav. Can anyone tell me what I need to do? I am sure it has been discussed before but blow me I can't find it.

you need software that can convert between formats. do a google search.

my personal favourite software is dbpoweramp music convertor

Download this previous version from here for free however it the music is protected by DRM you may have problems!

In which case just burn them onto an audio CD and then rip them from the same CD in MP3 format. Hope this helps.

Surely you just change the setting in ITunes to record songs as MP3 ? Go into Edit, Preferences, Advanced, Importing, then select MP3 Encoder in the 'Import Using' box. Then when you right click on any songs in the library you get a Convert Selection to MP3 option, which can then be burnt using Windows Media Player... all for free hurrah !

but you won,t be able to convert copyrighted music (bought from iTunes). you'll only be able to convert them if you first burn them onto a CD (use iTunes and no need for WMP) an then import them from the CD using MP3 format.
