Has anyone ever put the pre packed slices of sandwich meat in the freezer? I am always tempted to buy the large packs of value meat but it has to be used within 2 or 3 days of opening so most of it will get thrown away!

Me too. Its more economical and means there is always something in the house to make sandwiches with if needed.0

If I have a large packet I decant it into seperate packets before I freeze them, say so many slices for a batch of sandwiches...... that way you do not deforst more than you use at one time, saves waste.

I use to freeze sandwiches ready for school lunches, but lately I've notice some packets of ham etc say do not freeze, it could be that the meat has already been frozen, just check the packet first.0

wow i never knew i could do this. in the past i have thrown away so much as i opened it and didn't get to use it within 2 days.
i am such a big spender and buy tesco value ham ( it my hubby's fav one at the mo) but a pack last about a week. so when i get some more ham then i will certainly freeze it , and save throwing it away. thanks guys.0 -
I do this with most the pre -cooked meat I buy. I tend to get it in Morrisons for around 10- 30p per packet (it can be down from around £3) and put it in the freezer.0
