Thnaks guys... i have contacted the school again, all they can tell me is they used 3 awrding bodies that year but dont know what subjects they were allocated to. Its for teh ucas application form, they ask for awarding bodies of the GCSE's. I have asked 6 people from school who have all asked ppl too but no one has the certs anymore! looks like i am gonna have to pay for them, but not too sure how tho... i have just spent £340 on a OU course to support my application so having to find another £100 for the awarding bodies and my ucas app fee is a struggle to say the least....i am sooo peeved off about having to pay this it is untrue. Uni dont even want to see them, thats the annoying part!!

If they're never going to want to see the certificates, does it really matter what board you put down? As long as you put the grades down accurately I can't see anything wrong in just taking a guess!

The best thing to do is to not enter the qualifications in your qualifications section, but explain in your personal statement (or even better, get it put in your reference) what you have and that you just don't know the exam boards.

Then next month, or whenever you've got a bit more money, you can order your certificates and update the universities. You could even do it one board at a time to spread the cost if that makes it easier for you.

If you guess the exam boards, that's technically lying on your application. If the uni wanted to be mean, they could then take your offer away from you. They probably wouldn't, but it's best not to leave them that chance.

I guessed on my application, then busted a gut to find them! When I went for my interview I had to photocopy them 3 times.

When I got there, they didn't even look at them or take the copies  I think it is because they are almost ten years old and I'm doing an access course.

I wouldn't panic too much, I guessed on my UCAS. If they are that old, it is very unlikely they will bother to check. I think the UCAS form i mainly geared towards those leaving school/college
