Me too - the mail just came through. The thing is.....I already received the Decleor gift weeks ago!
So I guess anyone else who's also had the mail, cancel your DDs by all means, but don't lose all hope of getting the gift?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Did you email them asking about the gift?
I ordered on 13 Feb and haven't heard anything, but I haven't enqiured about the gift. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I just got the same email about RED magazine too. However I also got one on the 2 march confirming that I was indeed getting the gift, just that it was delayed.
I have now sent them yet another email asking them to explain themselves. Will see what sort of reply I get.0 -

I have had very bad experiences in the past with promotions by ads in the magazine - eg I subscribed to easyliving expecting to get skincare items, I was sent shampoo & conditioner for dry and frizzy hair instead - which I can't use as I have straight, greasy hair. I rang up their customer services but they wouldn't change it, I ended up giving the gift set to Oxfam.
I note a lot of these gift offers are limited to the first however many subscribers - does this mean that unless you sign up when the offer is first released, you won't get the gift? For me, as the gifts are often worth more than the subscription price, this is my way of indulging in magazines which I know are a big waste of money, I resent paying £3.50 for a magazine when I can get a whole novel in tescos for that.
I am scrolling through this thread - have subscribed to glamour and the free perfume, and the Marie Claire, I like red but I see their gift has closed, are there any other free gifts with women's magazine subscriptions at the moment?
many thanks
1: Click the link, select the country you live in
2: Click through to the next page.
3: Now select from the drop down box at the top, which subscription you would like to apply for, ie. £5.10 for quarterly sub + free gift, OR £4.50 for magazine only and NO free gift.
As with all subscriptions, they can change them, although it was generous of you to give your gift to charity... a lot of people on this web site use the free gifts not for themselves, but as a way of getting Christmas/Birthday presents for loved ones. Perhaps bare this in mind next time if it happens again. But usually if you apply early enough, you will get the free gift anyway. I've never had a problem and I've had so many over the past 9 months or so I have lost count.Sexkitten
Good things come to those who wait......... but the best will be taken by those who got there first

I did today, as I was wondering whether I would get the gift or not. Received an email later saying they'd run out. I signed up on the 4th February, which I thought was pretty early, but obviously not early enough.
I have to say though, if they'd already run out by the time I'd signed up, why allow people to continue signing up for another few weeks? I know it's often subject to availability (although I don't recall it stating that on the site) but it's a bit daft to leave it running even after they'd run out. Guess they're probably hoping people will forget or simply continue with the subscription irregardless of whether they received the set or not.0 -
Just checked and I subscribed on 20th January, earlier than the above post. I have not emailed them yet, think I will do soon though.Student MoneySaving Club member 017!0
