Would using retro dial telephone interfere with other phones in the house?

I'm after a bid of advice if somebody can help.
Just realised I'd love to have one of those 70s-80s retro telephones and thinking of getting one(ready coverted), I've checked if ntl(virgin) supports pulse dialing and that seems fine, but the problem is I've heard some people are saying there might be a problem with using other "normal" phones in the house as they would interfere. I can't seem to find any more detailed info on this. Would that really be true? Thanks!
