Hey Folks,
Am hoping you can help me sort out the best account for the money I save.
Every month at the moment I save £450. I already have the Halifax Direct Reward Cash ISA, but will soon reach this years limit as I paid in 2k today!
So, what i normally do is save the £450 in a seperate account and then transfer into ISA. With my limit soon to be reached on the ISA I am looking for a savings account with a good rate of interest. However the snag is I do need to be able to get to the money incase of emergencies!
I have been looking at the Halifax Regulary Saver Account, but it seems you cannot withdraw any money from this account.
What are my options? What would people suggest?

I'm no fan of Barclays, but this account might just fit the bill:
Monthly Savings - what you get:Earn a fixed interest rate of 6.00% AER (5.84% gross p.a.*) in months when no withdrawals are made.
No withdrawal restrictions but should you need to take some money out, a lower fixed rate of 3.03% AER (2.99% gross p.a.*) is paid in months when you make a withdrawal.
Interest is paid monthly†.
Make monthly deposits from £20 to £250 by standing order.
Save up to £3,000 over the 12-month term.
At the end of the 12-month term your account will automatically switch to an instant access savings account that is available at that time.
