Just a very quick query in case my PC does again what its been doing all day, namely jumping from whatever programme/page I'm currently on back to the desktop. Haven't been able to send an email all morning or do anything else much before it whizzes back to the desktop within a few seconds of starting. Can't believe its let me type this much!
Any idea please what might be causing it and what I can do to put it right would be brilliant, its driving me mad. Never did it before today and I haven't changed any settings or installed/downloaded anything.
Thanks

Virus scan, spyware scan etc.
Done all that already, thanks Awec.
Problem seems to be worse with email (seems to 'time out' after a few seconds although no error message comes up or anything, just switches straight back to the desktop). I haven't changed any email settings for months so I'm totally flummoxxed! I've done a diagnostic email account check with my ISP (BT Broadband Desktop Help) and the email account has come up as being in perfect order!0 -

So you're using your computer an all of a sudden all your open programs minimise themselves? Or do they all close?0

The sooner you get that MacBook Pro you want, the better, carbootcrazy.

you'd now be better off living in one.

If you have a wireless keyboard and mouse check the batteries. Also try swapping keyboard and mouse in case you have a key stuck somewhere.0

Check that the Windows key on your keyboard isn't jammed somehow. I hate that key. On my old desk top machine, I even went so far as to take it off the keyboard to make sure I didn't accidentally knock it.This is not an automated signature - I type this after every post.0

Do all the windows on the screen minimise to the taskbar when it jumps to the desktop?
As Lyger suggests could be an iffy windows key. When you type Windows-D that switches you back to the desktop so if the Windows key is dodgy, sometimes when you hit the D key it might minimise everything.0
