Tracing a call

Hi guys,
Once again I need your help. Is there anyway I can get written proof or confirmation of a call that was made to my home landline phone on the evening of September 26th 2008. I am with BT. The reason I am asking, is because this guy who I have taken to court and won, is trying to get out of paying me. If I can prove he telephoned me on the 26th September with regards to this holiday cottage were were going to stay in (Harbours Reach, Polperro, Cornwall - see my forum on it) and lied about a roof garden not yet been built due to the workmen running a little behind. What he didnt tell me was that he hadnt got planning permission and it was to be pulled down!!
Anyway, I need to have proof to the judge (yes I am back in court again on the 6th May - even though I won the previous court case on 27th February!) that he rang and blatantly lied to me about this roof garden.
I have tried ringing and emailing BT but they are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
HELP OUT THERE ...... PLEASE

I think you need to look for an alternative way of winning your case.
BT probably have a record that the call took place unless it is so old it was junked but I doubt that they would give that information to you.
Supposing they did confirm a call was made though there is certainly no record of what was said unless MI5 was tapping the line.0 -
Yes, even if they confirm the call was made. It certainly doesnt confirm what was said. However, it would help you in a scenario if the man has entirely denied calling at all.
Your proof of call would make the jury attach little weight to his evidence as you would have succeeded in pointing out a blatant lie in his statement.
This could ultimately swing things in your favour.
Also, have you spoken to your Solicitor with regards to getting this info from BT.
I have stated somewhere on this forum previously that if you can prove data is required for legal proceedings, it is exempt from non - disclosure under data protection act.
Ask your Solicitor but You can PM me if in doubt0 -
Not much use to you now I know but I bought one of these a few years ago and it has been worth the money I paid for it.

I usually use the same tape over and over again but any conversations such as Holiday bookings or insurance related subjects are kept until we think they are no longer needed.
I know you are supposed to tell the people that you are recording the conversation but it is still a powerful tool in your arsenal.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Im with the others, even if you could prove a phone call was made from his home number, it wouldnt mean anything. He could deny it was him, he could deny what was said. I know its sickening as we have an on going court case and our guy is slippery too. Try not to get to obsessive about it as if you asked your solicitor he would say it wont make any difference.0
