Right i purchased my car ins yesterday got a really good quote a £180 difference on last year they wanted to charge me 24% apr to pay it monthly but cos my cred card is only 6.4% i paid it full on this then plan to pay it monthly with what i would normally pay my car insurance have i done the right thing
thank for your opinions guys0 -
24%? are they mad?
How much was the monthly payment they were hoping for?
How much are you planning on paying per month now?
I think just putting these numbers into the snowball calculator will show you how much interest you would have been charged overall. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
I agree with George, 24% is a hell of a lot of interest. I would say you have made the right decision, I'd better double check OH's that I did last week! I cant remember what the interest on monthly payments was! Although we're still paying £30 less a month than we were last year

I see what you mean about them little fishes as well!! Lol:idea: Jan 09. Debt @ LBM - £11936.55 Debt at worst - £12600.55 Current Debt (01/03/2012) £8,859.51 29.7% Paid offHoneymoon Fund £410.40/£6000 House Deposit £1.50:A Proud to be dealing with my debts. DFW Nerd 1177 :A0 -
