new car insurance question help

ok guys

i recently passed my test and i am looking to insure my new car

i have a few questions and hope in any help form u guys

i am a 29 yo male, my average quote is around 800 pounds

my mother who lives abroad most of the year will wan to benefit of the car too, she is now retired and has had her licence for over 30 years

I would like to insure teh car on my name as i can start getting my premiums for the next years...

i got quote for me as first and her as second and quote jumps to 1000 pounds?!?
her as first and me as second and quote stays same or slightly less

another option would be just getting her on the insurance for the period she is here...but cant find any onfo on this..whats the minimum term and how much will it gererally cost?

Yeah... dont do that.

You would really need to speak to the Insurers you are thinking of going with and they will be able to advise the cost and period involved.

It does vary from company to company as to the maximum time they will allow for temporary drivers and how much they charge.
