where did you get the drivers? xp or vista?

when i plugged it in i let windows search for them and it all installed automatically. ive been using it fine all evening on windows xp so it works fine.

google fretsonfire fans forum for songs. might even be help for your install probs there.

XP, we don't have Vista.

It downloaded the drivers for the guitar and I installed the download from the Frets site for Windows XP, are they the only two things I need to downoad then? If not I may unininstall them and try again.

yeah. uninstall the drivers and let windows do it automatically.

make sure xp is up to date though, as i think you need at lease service pack 2.

It is fairly long, 2/3 metres maybe, you can get a fair distance away from the xbox with it.
