Well I have been in Lidl and they have their seeds at small packet 28p large packet 47p. Which is alot cheaper than the £1 to £2 plus you pay in garden centres etc for main brand seeds. If your smart you buy aload now as they are all well in date, use by date on packets I bought are all 2011. They have Tomato "Moneymaker" for 28p. 30L Peat free compost £1.99.

Poundland have big garden Plant tubs £1 square vase shape. 4 Lilly of the vally plants in one packet £1 Onion sets £1 . 15L compost bag 4-5 week feed £1. They have solar lights of several designs. I like to get the lights that are globes ment for floating on garden pond, but I put them on the soil at the base of my dwarf fruit trees, make sure you get the white led ones though. http://www.poundland.co.uk/pages/offers/gardening_2.aspx

Wilkinson have rhubbarb "Red canadian" £2 and Tomato plastic green house £9.99 http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/browse/137?ex=co_wizr-locayta&collate=pdxttype&collate=pdxtcolourn&collate=pdxtbrandn&collate=pdxtsizen&collate=pdxtmaterialn&collate=pdxtpackqtyn&collate=pdxtheightn&sortname=ascending&sortorder=name&fieldinvt=type&termtextinvt=invt&typeinvt=exact&fieldpcatid=pcatid&typepcatid=exact&termorder=invt%3Apcatid&template=wz_locayta&pagenum=2&perpage=10&threshold=0&spellcorrect=1&datasource=wilkinsonplusen&setpagenum=3

Aldi still have the tail end of their garden bulbs on sale near me and they are great value. www.aldi.co.uk

I went to Wilkos yesterday. Their seeds are on 3 for 2. Bought some of their own brand and some Johnsons. They are all in the offer.

I also bought a potato growing kit and a salad growing kit. Basically a black bucket with everything in for growing these things. These were both half price: the potato kit was £4.00 and the salad £3.00

I am planning on building (well I'm planning on getting my other half to build...) a raised bed in the very small space that I have available. (has to be raised as I have a bad back and cant bend down or kneel down for long periods)
Married the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!

Poundland had loads of bulbs and seed packets all for £1 and if they work it will have been really good value . They also had a lot of tubs and troughs in green plastic as well as a whole lot of decorative bits and pieces.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

I bought bulbs from Poundland a couple of years back & thought 'oh well only a pound' they've been fantastic. I'll definately get some more.

Got trees last week - ornamental for £1.99 at Morisson's.

They had garden poly tunnels, slug traps ( twin pack ) lots of hanging baskets designs and plastic plant tubs which for a £1 put the big multiples to shame with what they charge!:money:

If you have a B&M near you then you might be lucky. The Bolton store has a Walk in plastic greenhouse with two shelves for £19.99 ( I guess 5ft 8 tall ) and a smallplastic cold frame £7.99

If your looking to attract Bees and Butterflys they have a large packet of rake and throw seeds £1.50 double the amount in the packet compared to the £1 ones.

    http://www.glynwebb.co.uk/maps.htm ( this link to B&m , so you can locate a store )

Also the outdoor market at Bolton has some good Bargains on the pot flowers and Rockery plants. Plenty at £1 to £2

If you have a Wickes diy near you, well the Bolton stores is doing 4 x 75L of compost (4 to 5 week plant feed ) for £10 if bought in one purchase, offer till 19th April, the board at the front door entrance said. http://www.wickes.co.uk/Composts/Multi-Purpose-Compost/invt/200246
