we had a sofabed from this company a couple of years ago.It is in our study which doubles up as a guest room.(Im wandering off the point now,..! ),anyway we found the service great and more importantly the sofa seems to be wearing well.Obviously it doesnt get as much use as the sofa in the lounge, but it still gets lots of use with two teenagers sprawling over it.we did get a leather sofabed ,and it seems quite comfortable for our use.
we ordered directly and took a chance as we didnt visit any showroom beforehand.I would use the company again (I dont work for them either ha ha )0 -
I bought two sofas from SofaSofa over 8 years ago. They have changed hands three times within my family, had countless children, adult and animals making great use of them, they have lasted so well over the years and are only now starting to show signs of fatigue. I am so impressed that I came across this website whilst looking for a voucher code to buy another two!0

We were a bit worried about ordering from "Sofa Sofa" in Cardiff since we did not know about this company. Also the thought of ordering online was a worry since they did not have a local branch in London. In addition we saw a few bad reviews and that made us even more worried. But after more research the internet we realised this was a very big company based in Wales which made sofas and supplied show rooms over the UK.
They were happy to accept 25% deposit and the rest cash on delivery. We placed the order for 2 Albany Sofas by post and within 3 weeks they were ready to deliver. They phoned to confirm the delivery date and time and they delivered on time as promised. The Sofas were delightful and amazing for the price. They probably would be twice the price if we bought from our local shops. The delivery guys were very polite and removed their shoes before bringing the Sofas in.
I am very pleased with the service from "Sofa Sofa" and would highly recommend them.0 -
Like others I was dubious about buying a sofa unseen on the web.
But being unable to find something I liked at a sensible price I took a chance.
I needn't have worried.
I bought an Odeon Albany loosecover sofabed. I find it comfortable to sit on and it looks just as in the catalogue. The 100% cotton fabric feels reasonably tough unlike much of the synthetic stuff on sofas twice the price. The wooden frame seems very sturdy.
The manufacturers advice to "plump daily" the hollow fill fibre cushions is unlikely to be followed and if they do go flat then can easily be replaced with foam.
The sofa bed part has a strong tubular steel frame though the mattress and its stretch canvas support are maybe not the highest quality. At the price however I'm more than satisfied.
The 4 week lead time ran slightly over but communications were good and the delivery men were actually early (6.45 AM !). they were also very polite and lifted the old sofa outside obligingly.
Sofa Sofa were my option of last resort. next time they'll be my first choice0 -
I have bought 5 sofas from this company in the last 15 years or so. Delivery has always been ok if sometimes late in the day which is no problem. After ordering one which was too big for the room, they replaced this without problems.
As for quality, I have found that build wise, they are ok. Go for foam seat cushions as the hollow fibre ones tend to go flat really quickly if they arent plumped on a regular basis ( daily )
Lets face it. These are cheap sofas, which you can afford to change every few years when fashions change. They serve their purpose, if you really need superb quality and something which will last decades you'd probably be best spending a little more0 -
Hi
I bought a sofa from sofasofa recently. After washing the seat cushion covers according to the laundry instructions, one of the covers shrunk so much that once I'd managed to squash the cushion back inside the cover, it was about half the original size!
I sent pictures to the company, but no, that wasn't enough, I had to pack up all the covers, mainframe included - they provided an enormous plastic bag and a piece of paper with their address on it - I provided the tape etc. And I had to wait in for four hours for a courier to come and pick them up.
I was not offered replacement covers while the tests were carried out, nor was I given an indication of how long the whole process would take, so I was left with a foam monstrosity in my living room.
After a week, replacement covers were sent - I had to wait in for six hours this time - I was told that there was excessive shrinkage and that as a 'goodwill gesture' I was receiving these replacement covers. I don't understand how that can be a gesture of goodwill - the original covers were faulty! It was quite obvious as only one cushion cover had shrunk.
I dealt with the Aftersales Manager who in her last email suggested that I might not have washed the covers according to the washing instructions - highly insulting and very unprofessional of her! If that had been the case then all the covers would have shrunk, not just one.
Ironically the replacement mainframe cover is way too big for my sofa and I hope it does shrink in the wash! I emailed the Aftersales Manager and the MD (who incidentally didn't reply to any of my emails) to tell them about the wrong size replacement mainframe cover - have I had a reply? Of course not!
My previous sofa was from IKEA - lasted 10 years, covers washed and washed, no problem. Will not be going near or recommending sofasofa. Shoddy workmanship, poor Aftersales Manager.0 -
I have had Albany 4 seater Sofa for 12 years, never looked after it. Not very comfortable to sit on, but did its job perfectly as huge sofa/bed for occasional guests in London flat as student etc. Now kids have it in their playroom. Seat cushions gone lumpy, but again, it does its job and I have never looked after it particularly well. Considering I bought it for about £300 it has done brilliantly!0

I have bought sofas and chairs from Sofa Sofa several times for my own home and holiday lets over the years - 12 so far. I have bought Banbury, Milan, Oregon, Seville, Domino and Turin. All have taken a good deal of punishment from holiday-makers, children, dogs, parties etc. They have all stood up to the challenge - loose covers washed dozens of times, leather wiped clean. Yes, some of the cushions do get a bit saggy eventually on the loose covered sofas, but easily fluffed up or boosted by foam inserted. Our original Milans are still going strong after 13 years (although getting a bit faded now), but really couldn't ask for more.
Just ordered another 3 - Albany this time - and trust they will be the same quality. Never had a problem with build, fabric, delivery or customer service with any of them. Yes, sometimes delivery hours are a bit strange, but, hey give the guys a break, they spend 2 days on the road at a time, so could be forgiven for not being minute perfect.:)0
