Nothing you can do- just delete, preferably without opening the mail in the first place.0

Its a phishing scam to get your password and date of birth to get into get money out of your bank accounts etc.
All you need to do is add the sender to the disallowed.
In hotmail, click on "Options" then click on "More Options" then click on "Safe and Blocked Senders" (Its under the "Junk E-mail" title) then click on "Blocked Senders" and then add the email address.
Alternatively click on "Mark As" in the email and then click on "Phishing Scam"0 -
Why would they be asking for username? They already have it, as they've sent you an email."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

They send automated to thousands or even millions of hotmail accounts, sometimes the software just randomly generates names and adds it to "@hotmail.co.uk"
Plus if they ask you for your user name the chances are you will use the same user name for ebay, paypal, amazon etc etc and most people use the same password in each website so if they get your hotmail password they can either access your other accounts directly or simply go onto say amazon and say you have forgotton your password and it will email a new one to you hotmail account.
Its a phising scam, plane and simple0 -
That scams years old, Just ignore it.0

"we are having congestions" (Sounds Painfull!!)
"Hotmail would be shutting down all unused Accounts"
Pretty much gives the game away, sadly I'm sure that they will still be achieving some success, send 10.000 of these out and only get a 1% return, thats 100 accounts and as dacouch say's....ebay, paypal, etc, etc...0 -
In fairness, this isn't down to Hotmail - have you reported it to them? They are ususally pretty good about blocking these types of e-mails, particularly ones bringing their name into disrepute!0

the signature on the hotmail letter could be pronounced 'weally bizarre'.0
