Putting a vid onto Ipod

Ive been trying to put a video onto my ipod, but it doesnt work, ive read the manual and im doing what it says i should be, any ideas?
Im trying to get the vid from my desktop

It could be the video isn't in the right format; I use HandBrake for converting mine, and it works brilliantly.

Once it's done, add it to iTunes and then drag it onto your iPod.

Hi ive done this.. its in my movies bit of my itunes,but its not getting onto my ipod ! grr

Right click on the video file and see what format it is. If it isn't the correct format you need to convert it. You can do this in iTunes by using the right click button.
