Help! How do I recover deleted video files?

Hi I've accidentally deleted video footage of my daughter's 1st birthday party from my Sandisk SD card used with a Panasonic SDR-S7 SD Video camera. Any ideas of how I can recover it as I'm such a technophobe? Thanks so much.

I've found Zero Assumption Recovery: http://www.z-a-recovery.com/demo-ir.htm very good for recovering photos and videos from digital cameras. You don't need the paid-for version to do this.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
