For Blackpool Lyngarth Hotel Winners

QPR10

Lets not look a gift horse in the mouth just yet.

A friend of a friend works in the hotel industry up there I will ask them to take a look in August when the building work is supposed to be finished.

i love blacky!!! im sure once the renovations are done it shuld be ok to use your free stays?

QPR10

I can't forsee a problem for myself anyway.

I'm quite happy to travel alone and after the renovations a free 7 night stay in Blackpool with food thrown in will be nice. If I don't like it they can't make me stay all 7 nights

Most people would want to take up the offer of taking a companion for the 50% reduced rate but the sensible thing to do would be not to part with any money for that reservation until things are checked out.

Has anyone used their prize yet ?

Anyone know if the renovations have finished and it is up and running ?

Thanks,

According to the New Lyngarth website they were re-opening at August Bank Holiday, but despite 3 e mails and 2 phone calls I haven't had my booking confirmed. Anyone else had any luck?

:huh:I have used my prize; lasted three nights not the week... just got back. Needs loads of work doing still, although the food was good. Look at the reviews on trip advisor. I wish i had before I went. the web site doeant really reflect the sorry state of the place, grubby

oh I'm so sorry issytm what a shame. I feel a bit responsible since I posted it.

Thanks for being the guinea pig though and reporting back so all the other winners are aware. Hope you win a nice holiday soon to make up for it

I'm waiting as long as possible to claim my week - it'll be a break of sorts.
Certainly you don't need to worry about posting the comp - that's life - people enter or they don't.
As far as I'm concerned you enter and you may win something if you don't enter, you certainly don't win!!!
