Polperro, Cornwall-vouchers & things to do end of April?

We're staying there for a week at the end of this month and hoping for good weather to do lots of walks (any suggestions?) but would also like things like the Eden project etc - anyone got any vouchers or know of any offers? (2 adults - well big kids really)
Also any restaurant recommendations either in the immediate area or surrounding (fish/seafood is always a winner!)
Thanks

Hi
Personally I like to visit Fowey and St Ives when I am down that way.
The admission price for adults is £16 but, if you walk, it is £12

Hope that you have a great time and the weather is kind.0 -
Thanks Sheila

Managed to get some free entry to the Eden project through Nectar points, just not sure what else we fancy (depends on weather I suppose!)0 -
Bodmin Jail is interesting. Mevagissey is a lovely little place as is Tintagel where you can visit a medieval castle.
Have a look at this website http://www.thingstodoincornwall.co.uk/0 -
Please could anyone advise as to the best time of day to visit the Eden Project and how much time to allow for a visit (2 adults-end of April too). Have been told by friends to go in the afternoon as most people go in the morning expecting to stay all day but end up only spending half a day there.

Thank you
Apologies for crashing in on your thread S_C

I dont know about the best time of day to visit but as much as I like it there I certainly couldn't spend a whole day there. About 3 hours max I'd say.0

We went to the eden project form polperro last year, probably spent about 4 hours or so, but we had something to eat and the weather was really nice so we just sat around for a bit.
If the weather is good I would also suggest a walk along the coastal path out of polperro, the views are lovely. Parts are quite steep though.
I can't remember what the name of it was now, but there was a really ice pub/restaurant place on the road at the edge of polperro near the car park.
It's a lovely little place, hope you enjoy it.0 -
Miro - no worries
I wouldn't have thought of asking that. 3 hours is about right - we want to go to the Shipwreck & Heritage Centre the same day as they're close (OH's a Titanic fanatic).
Any comments on Tintagel Castle?0 -
Buy the Cornish Guardian when you get down there as it often has money off for various places of interests and will also give you ideas of where to go. I agree with the Bodmin Jail post above, I worked there for a summer and there's a few other things to do in Bodmin such as the Bodmin and Wenford railway, DCLI museum (military), Charlotte Dymond experience and a free 'history of the town type' museum. NOt sure of decent resturants on Bodmin, but I believe there's one in Honey Street which is quite nice.I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0

If you have a really wet day St Austell has the biggest indoor market in Great Britain open every Sat/Sun www.cornishmarketworld.co.uk
Bodmin jail is also good on a wet day, they do great food.
The Eden Project can be done in a couple of hours or longer depends if you are into reading everything, its best to go on a nice day as everyone seems to go when its wet, if you get a gift aid ticket (it costs no more) it lets you return free for a year, a few of our guests use this to go twice in the week, once on wet day then on nice day.0
