  • I hate Virgin, had nothing but problems, and dont seem to be able to talk to someone that 1, I can understand or 2, they can understand me.
2 years ago Virgin set up a new dd in my bank taking £33 a month, when I finally found out they said it was an error, would refund me and give me a dicount of £12.50 for as long as I stay with them.
Fine til last year my bill came in at £72. I got on the phone, was crying as I just cannot afford this, told them I wanted to leave and what had happened to my discount, the virgin man said the discount was only for a year, I argued that is not what the woman had said, so I told him I wanted to leave, I would go freeview, and talktalk, he said he could knock my bill right down for me to £42 a month. A saving of £30, that will do for me........til the bills started coming in, all over £60!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lying cheating *******

THIS IS ONE VERY EXPENSIVE VIRGIN. THEIR CALLS ARE AMONG THE MOST EXPENSIVE IN THE BUSINESS. So what you save on their overpriced £25 deal they claw back in call costs and connection charge.

Why not use a BT Line £11.25 a month
    incl free weekend 0845/0870/local+national calls

    PlusNet broadband £5.99 a month
    Free Router/no connection charge/Speed 8 Meg /Download 10 Gig

    Feeview for TV

    Total £17.24 a month

If you want free calls 24-7 including free 0845/ 0870 add on £4.95.
Cheaper than Virgin. And BT offers a better service.

Freeview isn't really comparable with virgin though is it. For a lot of people, neither is the broadband you quoted. I know several people who can only get around 2-3mb through BT but get around 8-10mb with the cable broadband.

The lesson here is this: if you get a 'bill credit' or reduced payments from ANY company, take them at their word, but ALWAYS phone up a couple of days later to check that the credit has been applied or to ask them to confirm your monthly payments....if the first person you spoke to did as they said they would it will be clear, if they did not you have the chance to resolve it before payments come out of the bank.

the way that virgin open NEW direct debits without consent is fraudulent

they did it to my mum a few years ago, and werent even billing her for this extra amount.

when i called to sort out for her, they played dumb for weeks, then eventually said the best they could do was to give her a discount for the next 18 months. then they put the price up during that 18 month period.

    i honestly dont trust them
