I know every so often on our main pc we do a disk clean up, defrag etc but can you do the same on the Acer Aspire One if using Linux?
The only thing I can see on there is the drop down menu under 'Tools which says ' clear private data '.

The way Linux handles the Disk you don't need to defrag. As for 'disk clean up', the way it removes programs keeps the system pretty much clean. The only thing you need to worry about is files in your home directory.Laters

There's a great litle program called malwarebytes, it's available for free on on a site called Download . com (many gems in there)
I run spybot, adaware, AVG, CCcleaner, you name I have it and this little beauty has caught 920 nasties the others have missed....plus it cleans everything up
I do a defrag and disc clean on mine without problem ;-)0 -
no chance of that running on linux (not that you would need to anyway)There's a great litle program called malwarebytes, it's available for free on on a site called Download . com (many gems in there)

Do you have the Linux or the Windows Acer one??
Sounds like you have the Windows Version sandy..
The OP has Linux version so does not need Anti-virus & CCCleaner is a Windows program NOT Linux.
The OP does not need any of those programs you listed.Laters

Yup Ubuntu does a disk check every 25- 30 times the machine is started. But it does check to see of the drives needs to be scanned when they are mounted.Laters
