Utilita - trying it on!!!!!
Are Utilita trying it on?
Today I received a red final bill for my gas and electricity with Utilita. It demands I pay within 21 days but they DIDN'Y send a final statement! I've no idea what amount of gas and electricity I am meant to be paying for.
I think they have included there £40 surcharge for December but have craftily not itemised it.
When I rang their phone number, the answer machine message says "If you haven't received a final statement.......", "If you are querying the surcharge (which we think is lawful (yeah!)............" leave your account number and we'll send the deal with it.
I'm not paying anything until I get a statement and then if the surcharge is included I'm going to deduct it and then pay the metered costs only.
Anyone else in the same boat?
