WOW !! have bought a 42" plasma screen from comet, and extended warrenty.... gasps i hear at the word extended warrenty , well there was reason for getting it.
Firstly the screen is huge and we had to take it out of the box to get it in the car, under the warrenty it was covered for accidental damage so we was covered for the trip home.
Secondly we was offered a free super scart lead which retails at £60 so how could we say no?.
Got the screen home only to find that there was a part missing from the wall bracket which we bought seperatly and it could not be put up, after talking to comet there store manager had none in stock to replace the bracket so he travelled to another comet store about 40 miles away and got one from them and personally delivered it to us !!! the new bracket was £50 more expencive than the one we originally got but he exchanged it without extra cost ,
So not only did we get the free stuff for taking the extended warrenty but also a better wall bracket for the same price and a fab service from the store Thank you Comet :T
***** Will obviously check the cost of putting the plasma on the home insurance and prolly cancel warrenty

Wow, that sounds good service, you might want to consider cancelling the policy within the cooling off period thought and getting a full refund now the system is home, especially if u add it to your home insurance.
You can then follow martins advice and self insure it putting the refund into a ISA or saving a small amount each month in case there is ever a problem.
I would always look in John Lewis for a TV as they would price match comet AND offer a FREE 5 year warranty on all their TV, so you can't loose. Plus their service should be excellent as well.
