Key Logging and virtual keyboard

I have always used the virtual keyboard instead of the physical keyboard for any online banking I might do. The reason I do this is because I was advised to do so in a PC mag a few years ago, does this procedure still afford better security.

On one of the banking sites that I use, they have a virtual keyboard on-screen for inputting passwords. They must think it's a good idea.:j

if you are on vista just type "keyboard" into the search bar on the start button.
not sure if this will avoid keyloggers as well as an online keyboard would.

A program I've used for quite some time for this reason is Keyscrambler, this program scrambles everything you type on your keyboard, a free version 2.4.1.1: is available at :- http://www.qfxsoftware.com/Download.htm

Click Start then Run and type in OSK

If you have a keylogger, it won't help, the keylogger will capture the output from osk instead - a scrambled osk on a banking website works differently. The only protection from keyloggers is a good antivirus package.
