Change from Talk Talk home phone to Post Office

Hi I'm thinking of changing my basic home phone pkg from Talk Talk (just phone, no BB) to Post Office - my current internet supplier is Orange - would there be any problems if I changed to Post Office? Cheers all ...

There seem to be several on here who big them up but you have to be careful. Not a customer myself but their reviews on reviewcentre wouldn't exactly make me beat a path to their door...

Maybe they are no worse than any of the others, though?

Post Office phone is a white label BT service (BT run it for the PO).

theyre fine, never had any problems, cheaper than BT, no problems with customer service, package is pretty competitive in the current climate (Free weekend UK Mobiles)... on personal experience, a hell of a lot better than TalkTalk
    £4988 Lloyds TSB Mastercard
    £400 O/D Lloyds TSB
    £2650 Lloyds TSB Loan
    £5070 Black Horse Finance

Skint, but I have a plan.... an MSE Plan!!!

You shouldnt have a problem with your broadband, however Talk Talk will soon be offering inclusive peak local calls ,and inclusive 0845/0870 calls depending on your bundle, neither of which you get with the PO Homephone.
  • yep have to say - haven't had a problem with TT - although don't want their broadband as there are just too many complaints about it -- though same could be said for Orange and yet I'm still with em!

Plus there's no 24/7 inclusive calls package with the P.O. AFAICS. Call rates during the day are also very uncompetitive compared with the best.

But their 'headline' £17.74 figure soon becomes a lot less attractive when you add all the £4 'boosts' needed to achieve a 'decent' service. IMO, of course.

    Hi Pixelchick10,

There should be no problems with your Orange broadband working on a Post Office line - as others have said its a BT line in all but name. If you need any info on canceling your TalkTalk service let me know. If you're moving due to cost and you are out of contract then it could be worth a chat with the TalkTalk retentions team before you make a decision.

    Cheers
