Is anybody having trouble depositing money into Egg with the new card verification software?

I haven't been able to deposit into egg for ages using the website. Gave up in the end and now use BACS from my bank account. Not sure if there is new software as it has been months and months, so how new is the new verification software?

Used it last week, no problem.

Is what you are talking about the "verified by visa / mastercard" software? If so, you may find you have to set up a password first via the website of whoever is your card issuer. I've done this with both nationwide and coventry BS now, and it appears to work fine.

I can use my debit card with the verified by VISA software no problem. Used that loads of times, just pop in my password and it just works. But when I go into egg and try to deposit with my debit card it always fails.

As I said, to much hastle so just bank transfer it in now.

Whether that is the same problem the OP has or not I'm not too sure.

I did have a problem a month or so ago. Kept telling me it was unsuccessful although I wasn't doing anything different. I started using BACS from my current account which was fine. A few weeks later and the problem seems to have sorted itself out. It may just be a temporary blip.

I had problems yesterday, it "lost" my card details somehow.

Phone up, they re added it and did the transfer over the phone
