Adding a passenger to my booking

Wonder if anyone can help - I've recently booked a hotel for myself and 7 others to a hotel in the Dominican with Thomson. (8 adults, 4 rooms)

We booked it around a month ago. Someone else I know wants to add to the booking. Trouble is, all of our rooms only have 2 beds and nobody wants to pay what we're paying to go and share a bed with a mate.

I could ask if the hotel could put a sofa bed in the room, but don't know if they'll charge.

Does anyone have any experience of adding someone on to a booking? And if so what extra charges were incurred?

you can ask for a matress to be added to the room (did this recently with all our hotels on a trip to india, wasn't an uncommon request for any of the hotels, paid extra, i think it was about a 3rd of what the room cost, but the bed ranged from literally a matress on the floor or a fold out bed

thanks reehsetin. its a 5 star all inclusive that he'd be paying £1400 to stay in, but i suppose he should of booked when the rest of us did...
