I buy five different funds each month as part of a S & S ISA. Just reviewing my options ready for this financial year and am considering changing one to a property fund.
Does anyone know of a fund that did well for them until the bottom fell out of the market?

Probably any property fund would fit that description.I'm sure there are plenty of performance graphs you can check. I didn't personally get involved in this sector but am also looking for a good opportunity to diversify my portfolio at some point. Most of my new money is going into equities right now but I'm intending to review this sector next tax year.
Norwich Union (now Aviva) and Scottish Widows seem to have been well respected, established 'Bricks and Mortar' funds. Anything with REIT exposure (e.g. British Land shares) would have increased risk
Historic yields are rising above 5% now on many of these funds. It would be good to see if those are maintained/increased through the recession and if businesses will be able to pay out the rents.
Does anyone know what yields were on offer before the bubble kicked in (e.g. before around 2003)?0 -

Thanks for the reply.
I have looked at the Aviva (Norwich Union) Investors Property Trust and up until 2007 it had reasonable returns most years. Hopefully the link below will work.

Will look at the Scottish Widows.0
