I got married at the end of October (few years ago now) and had Tulips !, they grow them all year round in Holland and my florist had no trouble getting them, you would get a good red tulip and the white ones are also lovely. HTH

I'm going to visit these people - based in Northumberland. They do a wedding package for £400 (roses only I'm afraid - but have a look HERE as they look fab!)
They might be able to advise further? I'm only after a bouquet, bridesmaid posy and 5 buttonholes, so hopefully a lot cheaper....will keep you posted!

    Thanks for this. It's not what I need (I'm in Durham, well Houghton) and the price is about right for what you get based on what I've seen elsewhere. I wouldn't say it's a bargain though. Here's the sort of prices I'm seeing elsewhere;
    Brides bouquet £75
    BM bouquet £30 (so x3)
    Corsages and button holes £10-£15
    Thank you bouquets £25 (so x 2)
    = £295
+ table decoration (no idea on this but it would make that £105
    Total £400

I still think you might still do better shopping around.......

I wonder if it's black that's limiting you to roses? Maybe tell florist red and white and your options might open up more. You could always ask for a bit of black ribbon on top of the ribboned handle for effect and tie in with your 3 colours.... :)

Wedding Bouquets in Association with Wedding Flowers Magazine

Do you know which year this was published? I have rang local library this morning and they only carry books from 2006 onwards. The lady i spoke to also said they do not carry many wedding flowers books either.

I tried the magazine for weding flowers but they are only showing this seasons flowers so it may be a little early to search for what i will need in regards to magazine ideas.

Thanks for all the input it is appreciated.

It was first published in 2006 - ISBN 978-0-600-61386-2 - I bought my copy from Amazon for about £8 I think it was. Cover price is £12.99

    Hi Stef,

I got my flowers off ebay and the woman was absolutely fantastic, My flowers arrived on Friday and they are gorgeous!!!! I paid £178 inclu P & P for:-
    Bridal shower bouquet
    3x BM poseys
    1x Flower Girl posey
    8x Buttonholes
    4x round table decorations
    1 top table decoration
  • I've been really lucky with my flowers as a friend is an amazing florist and is doing them for me at cost price. They are all being imported from Holland the week before the wedding. Having quite a few different flowers in my boquet (mainly roses) and then akito roses for the bridesmaids (around 15-20 stems per bunch) all are going to be hand tied.

For my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids, 12 button holes and then 2 thank you bouquets its coming to £365, which is over £200 saving on what it would be if she did it through the shop where she works!

I know they are going to look simply fab and cannot wait to see them!
