I've just been given a Kenwood music system which is in perfect working order apart from the cassette option not working (the spools aren't going round). Is it possible to fix this? I have lots of tapes i want to listen to (very old skool i know lol).
TIA

Yes, either the drive belt has broken or the pinch roller has started to slip due to age/ and non use really. Might be fixed with a drop of IPA alcohol if you know what you are doing.0

Almost certainly drive belt perished.
I've repaired one before, but back in the days when Tandy shops were still around for generic spares.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Go to http://cpc.farnell.com/ and search for drive belt0

or try ebay if the above site can't help.0
