Black bedroom carpet vs. white fluffy kittens!!

I agree with the rubber broom/brush idea - the specialist/extra powerful vacuum cleaners are probably better these days, but when we had a Pyrenean Mountain Dog (very long pure white fur - and a lot of it !) and a red carpet, the old 'yellow top' broom that hairdressers used was a godsend - about the only thing that shifted the hair.
And gosh - my arms knew they'd worked out afterwards (old terraced house with a 27 foot long living/dining room) - could do with it nowadays to tackle my increasingly flabby arms !
Good luck.0 -
We used to have a black cat and light coloured rug and found that getting down on your hands and knees and "brushing" it with your hands whilst wearing rubber gloves worked. Its hard work and you will wear holes in the gloves!:D0

Thanks everyone for your suggestions...I will give the hoover brush a go first, then try the rubber glove if that fails. Looks like I will be gettinga new hoover very soon!!
As for getting them spayed, that is a definite...we are not allowing them outside at the mo, especially seeing as one of them is in season. Not a good idea!!0 -
I`ll vouch for both the rubber gloves and the rubber brush.
We got our brush from wilkinsons and it was only about £3, use the rubber gloves dry but as above they do wear out into holes and your hands get very hot quickly.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

This may sound really odd but...
We have found that a pair of trainers with really good non-slip soles does the job quite well. Just put on feet and scrape feet quite hard over carpet. Hair comes up in balls which can then be picked up. Brings up the pile in the carpet and makes it look quite new. Is also a brilliant work-out for legs.0
