Joint accounts

Hi all,

Im pretty new to all this but have been reading the boards for a while.

I just wondered (and this may sound silly!) if there are any savings accounts that offer better rates for having a joint account with serperate direct debits going in monthly?

Im 24 and got engaged a few months ago & I want to start the wedding/house fund (Scary ). I have been quite good at saving over the years & have managed just over £20,000 (altho i do owe student loans!) but my OH hasn't been quite so careful and really doesn't have any savings.

He is insisting everything is 50:50 which I understand so I want to set up a joint bank account we can both start paying equal amounts into every month to build it up - not planning on getting married for over 2yrs and we won't be dipping into the money either.

thanks
