small claims helps

I wish to file a small claim against a business from which I bought a car but then the car needed a head gasket replacing which cost me £600.
I am a student and so the cost of £60 to file a small claim is a lot of money to me which I don't really have readilly.
Is there anyway I can file a claim for free or for a reduced cost?
Any help with this would be great.
Thank you

Don't think so unless you are on benefits.
If they defend, you will also have to pay a hearing fee of £50.0 -
If you're confident you'll win, you'll get your costs back, so could you not borrow the money?
Have you tried all other routes first i.e contacting the business that sold it? How long after buying did it need a head gasket? Was the car sold as being in good working order?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Court fee remissions are not limited to those on benefits. You can find more information here:
