Yes I have been a 'lurker' of the site for a while now but I am not au fait with the chat forums. I apologise if my ignorance offended you.Making the most of what I've got.

Don't worry cheekymonkey you dont have to do ANYTHING if you dont want to. See xbigmans post above.
Anyway...a statement of affairs is a list of all incomings (wages, benefits) and outgoings (rent, gas, credit cards, food). It helps to be accurate. When poeple post them it helps them to get an overview of their finances, others can then advise on areas to cut back on and maybe where debts can be shuffled. Sometimes it takes a fresh head to point out something that is staring you in the face.0 -
I feel sick! I am in the most debt I have been and I thought consolodating would solve all my problems but I cant get a laon now. I was unemployed for 3 months and used the credit cards for cash so my interest rates are no longer straight forward. I now have a new job and my basic is £710 per month (exploitation for 50 hours a week!) I am now working in sales which I have not done before and have promises from the company that no one has earned less than 18k in their first year but obviously this changes with seasons and the areas I work in. I know I would be in a more peaceful state of mind if I got another job which had a higher basic rate of pay but I like my job and last month someone in my department picked up £7500 for 4 weeks wage!!!!!!!
If i phoned my loan and credit card companies can they put me on a payment plan or suspend my payments for a few months until I get myself sorted?!
ThanksMaking the most of what I've got.

Yes im sure most of it went to the tax man! .....do you mean bankruptcy by BC?
sorry Im really rubbish at this...I keep searching the site for inspiration then find myself feeling physically sick so have to get up and go and make a cup of tea!!Making the most of what I've got.

right..I have just been on the bank to HSBC for over half an hour but they have given me a £7000 loan for 11.9% which I will use to pay off my credit cards..amazon 12.9% (most of it cash though) and my egg card 15.9% (again, I used for cash whilst out of work!) The loan also pays off my overdraft with them and the charges I have clocked up whilst being over my overdraft!
So my life feels much simpler now...the payments are also deferred for 3 months!
I know consolidation of debt is not the best option but it will give me a couple of months to sort myself out!
Thanks for all your advice guys!

To many that seem not to like my posts......do you really think you are helping the OP by offering advise without knowledge of his situation. How do you know anything to help him without knowing a full SoA. I'm sorry you may have some sincere feeling of TLC and LOL but that wont pay his bills. As he goes bankrupt he may sing your phrases or he may not.
Friend,. post your full SoA and get good quality advice or choose to receive TLC that wont pay any of your bills.
This board is full of people with their heads in the sand....dont be one of them
I dont do TLC or LOL but I do read the numbers ....choose whatever...I wont post again.0 -

Clapton - you are not keeping to Martin's rule to be nice to all moneysavers.
It might be better if you didn;t post again anywhere on this board if you are only going to be unpleasant.
See my other post to you this morning in another thread where you have similarly been rude and unhelpful. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I agree with skintchick. I'm bored with seeing the same posts from CLAPTON again and again. CLAPTON - you may think you are being helpful but you can make the same points in a much nicer manner. I sincerely hope that any newbies are not scared off for fear of having the same comments aimed at them. What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!
DFD - WAS: a while ago
