Hi Skylight
I wonder if your ex SIL is still in the denial stage of the debt process. Not sure if anyone else was like me but I knew the debt was there but convinced that it would work itself out with out the inevitable happening.....denial is a classic `head in sand` symptom.
Keep offering the help Skylight....I know you will & don`t let it get to you Hun...sounds like she needs time to consider her options.
Hey 5YP.....love the `why not pay cash` alternative:rotfl::rotfl:.I remember years ago in New Look where the shop assistant said `oh you don`t want to use your cash ....why don`t you have one of our cards & save 10%`...sounded like a good idea at the time but I was so niiave back then !:o0 -

If anyone has been into any charity shops recently there are always rails full of new/nearly new NEXT stuff....often still with the label on!!!
People buy at ridiculously high shop prices, wear the item once (if at all) & then give it away!!!
....such a waste of money. 0 -
i love next clothes too, they do seem to fit my babies better than some, especially the jeans as daughter is skinny and tall, they have adjustable waists on a lot and the leg length is always good. now i'd love to be able to go nuts in next, but i cant afford to. yet both my kids are kitted head to to in next clothes most days-and it's mainly from charity shops and car boots!!!!! or a lady on a baby site i go on who sells her daughters old clothes off rediculously cheap!!!!!!! everyone has always commented on how well dressed and nice my kids always look and i have to laugh when i see their faces when i say "thanks, its from the charity shop/car boot". we're doing a car boot on sun as i have loads of their old clothes in attic to sell as hubby says no more kiddies for us, but no doubt i'll have a wander and possibly stock up on some next size bits for my babies! got a fab bargin at car boot last weekend, had got daughter some clarkes shoes from clearance shop a few months back and she was just growing into them, when i came down and found the dog had eaten them for breakfast one morn when hubby hadn't closed the living room door as he left for work! i was gutted as they were the prettiest shoes and on ebay they were selling for £15+ so no chance of getting pair of there. found same one and pair of clarkes molly cat sandals on a stall for £1 each!!!! came home with 3 pairs of shoes for her that day, £3 the lot! x0

As a side issue what is all the hype with Next
Have to admit i got in money troubles a few years ago with an attitude of must shop at Next and places like that
It seems to have some magnetic pull you only have to see the queues at sale times(which are a waste of time if you are an XL like me all they seem to have left is S and M)
A few years back i had my LBM and thought why pay £14 for a white work shirt when Primark sell the same for £4 and its probably made in the same place
People still buy me Next vouchers at birthdays and Christmas and to be honest i now have over £100 of gift cards that on the last three of four times i've been in there just cannot see anything that i like
Mind you again they do seem to cater for the more slim type of man
I do hear that they are very good for kids clothes though
Perhaps thats the answer but again its still gonna be overpriced i would imagine
If you think you are not going to use the vouchers, why not put them on Ebay and get the cash?

The website you're on!“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”
