error code when trying to install java

Ive just tried to install a java update and keep getting the following error code
bin\awtdll old file not found, however a file of the same name was found. No update done since the file contents do not match
has anyone got any ideas how i solve this problem?

Uninstall Java from your PC, then go to the Sun Java website and install the relevant programme from this list:
http://java.com/en/download/manual.jspWhere there's a will, there's a way to get something cheaper from somewhere else!!
