Insurance for 1st home, But work as agency worker! HELP..

Hi all, Im looking to buy my first home this week, But i am a bit unsure about getting insurance to cover mortgage? I work for a agency for offshore workers, So i work 3 weeks then have 3 or 4 off etc, So not sure if i can get cover, As its agency work i dont suffer from getting paid off but can suffer from lack of work availible with the recession going on? I do earn a good yearly wage but want to make sure i can get good cover before i go buy a home? Please help??

  • Yeah i thought of that, I just thought there might be insurance firms out there who would involved with agency workers

    there will be - and an IFA will do the research for you (speak to underwriters etc).

    Are you a member of a union or trade association? If so they may also be able to point you in the direction of an insurance scheme or at the least an advisor.
