I use the other type
http://nextday.diy.com/app/jsp/product/productPage.jsp?productId=61021
makes up to about 5L of sand/cement, tile adhesive, plaster etc, in a 10L bucket, using a cordless drill.0 -

So this one will just slide into my drill and then will automatically mix whatever is in the bucket? Sorry if these are stupid questions, i just want to make sure i get the right one!0 -
It will work.
But so will a wide strip of wood, I would have to mix an awful amount of materials ( which demand , a lot of mixing) to justify the cost.0 -
Amazon and Toolstation sell these a bit cheaper. Slips into a normal/cordless drill.
They're great and make mixing easy- no chance of getting some half-mixed paint/plaster etc in the corners of the bucket.0 -

have you got one of those fancy space age square buckets?
mine hasn't got any corners - i feel left out.You got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.0 -

Thanks for the comment. So this:

and this:
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Hand+Tools/Builders+Tools/M14+Thread+Mixer+Mortar+600+x+100mm/d10/sd140/p50984
will slot into any power drill?
But just to be doubly sure, the ones from B&Q will also slot into a power drill?
Thanks0 -
The ones you've picked are bigger than the ones I needed- they have an M14 bolt head which will NOT fit a normal drill (AFAIK normal drills have a 13mm chuck).
The smaller ones e.g. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-DA43-600mm-Mixing-Paddle/dp/B000LFYZZU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=diy&qid=1239030013&sr=1-3 ) will fit a drill. This one is only 4 inches across, but will mix a bucket fast.
So long as it doesn't say "M14" attachment, you should be OK.0 -

You could try making something out of a wire coathanger! We did this, to mix up plaster and it worked very well.0 -

Thanks for your help, i really appreciate it!
So this one from B&Q will be fine: http://nextday.diy.com/app/jsp/product/productPage.jsp?productId=61021
This looks exactly the same as the one from amazon in your last post, well except for the colour! :P
The one in amazon is cheaper by a couple of quid, it is just i need it on thursday and will just be easier to pick up in B&Q!0 -
I looks identical to the one I have, the shaft on mine is a hexagonal rod, and it fits in my power drill. I can't tell you if it's different now, the picture doesn't look it through.
(Aldi were selling them recently as well, even cheaper)
Edited Tuesday --- In fact I was in Aldi this morning, they still have a load of them left.0
