Buying Overseas

I have been looking into buying property in Bulgaria for some time now and wondered if anyone else had done this or had any information/advice/warnings??

The purchase would be through a UK-based company and is part of a development still in progress. Clearly I would need to go out and see it for myself, but in essence everything sounds good.

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Selling property in emerging overseas property markets is my job - if you want to take a look at my company's web site feel free to mail me and I'll send it to you.

Are you buying primarily as an investment? Where abouts in Bulgaria are you buying? - some places are obviously better than others, it depends what you're hoping to get out of it.

Something that people should make sure they do if investing overseas is check out the company they're buying from - go to their offices, check out their set-up, make sure they're not some fly-by-night.

Just wondered Billy 74, if you'd made it out there yet. I am going Easter time to check out apartments in Bansko for a place to invest and to enjoy the skiing. Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

The skiing is great in Bansko and the resort will be fantastic in a few yrs time. I'd suggest buying something as close to the ski lifts as you can afford.

Drop me a mail if you want any info.
