Move iPOD music onto a PC

Hi, I've lost some of my music files on my PC that arestill on my iPod. What is the most reliable method of transferring them back onto the PC?? Thanks in advance for any help.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

Open iTunes on PC. Make sure the automatic synch facility is switched off, or you can lose the tunes already on your iPod! Connect iPod to PC and when it shows as present on the iTunes menu, you can "grab" any stuff from the iPod and move it back to your Library."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
