I use the new bounty surface roll. It`s excellent and does a good job wiping all surfaces and the sink. I don`t like dish cloths as they pick up germs too easily. I used to boil wash them in a pan every evening. Don`t do since I discovered bounty. I got 6 double packs on bogof. I think they are saving me a lot of money

    as it ruined the cloth

    I wondered about that too?

I put my cloths in the dishwasher or washing machine which is going on at the time.

i always put the tea towel in the wash each evening.

but to wash up i use the tesco value sponge (14p for 5) and i replace it every other day. i use tesco value washing up liquid , and each evening and morning i wipe all the surfaces over with dettol surface spray. as when my baby brother had cancer the hosiptaL recommend this and being the best kiiler of bugs and germs. and we have never had any food poisoning or bugs.

i personally think your body needs a certain amount of germs to be healthy.
  • I use microfibre cloths and give them a good rub through each night and then put them in the sink with the plug in and cover them with a kettle full of boiling water and leave them overnight. Seems to be fine, but I don't ever use a dish cloth for the floor.

Ladygrey, I do the same as you. I never bleach or disinfect (I avoid chemicals) and have never had any problems. I don't replace the dishcloth until it's really had it!
