  • Zar - I do exactly the same as you - and we've never had any food poisoning and upset tummys

Each to their own but I'd rather read a book last thing at night than be washing out dishcloths!

omg! I chuck away my washing up sponge when it finally gets too manky to get things clean, often that takes weeks. I never wash it in between or bleach it or anything. I do use Anti-bac washing up liquid and I do rinse the sponge in hot water when I'm done but that's all. I guess it's helped me build up my immunity!

I wash/change dishcloths etc whenever I feel the urge. (Which isnt that often).

No ones died from my kitchen germs.....yet...............

BTW How manky must your kitchen cloths be for you to have to soak them in disinfectant every day  What are you DOING with them to make them that dirty?

Its not the dirt. Bacteria breeds on the wet cloth.

Think of all that bleach you are throwing down the drain :)

I probably replace things a couple of times a year. Still healthty - i run 4 miles before work 4 times a week and haven;t had a cough / cold for as long as i can remember.

    Cheers

  • There are better things in life than to discuss how often you change your dishcloth! As I have read before life is for living and not for competing against each other!

Dont really think it has anything to do with competing against each other more like curiosity! Cant really see many people getting uptight about someone changing their dishcloths more often than them - no-ones judging anyone
